Gris Harvest

Discover how our 8th harvest is shaping up to be our best yet. With Pinot Meunier and Pinot Gris picked early and exceptional fruit quality surpassing 2022, this vintage promises something truly special.

Flowering

The vines are flourishing! Grapes are bursting through flowering into berries, ahead of schedule thanks to glorious growing conditions. We're hoping the good weather continues through July and August.

Miller Meunier

Our Pinot Meunier vines are flourishing after the rain! Discover this red grape—one of the "big three" champagne varieties—named 'miller' for its distinctive, flour-dusted leaves.

Gris Expectations

The harvest is about to begin with the Pinot Gris! Despite challenging damp conditions that have reduced the crop, the grapes are in good shape, with Pinot Noir and Meunier to follow.

Green harvesting

Just 3 weeks until harvest! We're performing green harvesting by removing underripe fruit from selected vines to focus the energy for our Pinot Noir red. The crop looks promising!

South Facing

Discover the orientation of our vines, set to maximise sun exposure on the North Kent Downs near Canterbury. We share the view south and note how the grapes are moving towards harvest.

Vine times

Our Pinot Meunier is thriving in the sun, showing off its beautiful green/grey leaves and pink tips. Summer is here, and the grapes are beginning to form nicely on the canes.

Easter buds

The first buds of spring are finally emerging despite a challenging wet winter! We are hoping for a frost-free April and much sunnier weather ahead.

Veraison

The Pinot Noir is welcoming the September sun and beginning to show the first signs of veraison, where the red grapes develop their colour. We're hoping for continued warmth ahead of the late October harvest.

Here we go

Flowering has begun, marking the countdown to harvest—approximately 100 days away! We are crossing our fingers for continued warm weather as the crop looks very promising this year.

Floral display

The wild flower meadow is in bloom! With the cold spring wind now gone, the vineyard has perfect growing conditions for what is shaping up to be a bumper crop of grapes this season.
